Sailing Families Revisited (2015-16)

In 2010, we asked 12 families who were out cruising on sailboats to answer 12 questions about their experiences – everything from what they liked best and least, to how they handled all the many challenges – from finding the boat, to making the break, to handling schooling, life aboard, safety.

In the last five years, many, many prospective cruising families have read and reread the experiences of these families – and gained the confidence and practical knowledge to take the leap and go cruising.

Readers have asked us to update the series – and so we have asked a new (another diverse) group of sailing families to answer these same 12 questions and to share their experiences. Over the next months we will be publishing their answers, together with updates from the original 12 families that contributed in 2010-11.
