I'm thrilled we decided to adopt our dog on our cruising -- of all the wonderful things that came about from our decision to go cruising, she's the best. But yes, it's meant a lot of changes and accommodations in our lives -- some for the better and some more restrictive.

We didn't make the decision lightly -- for us, it meant that we'd decided not to cross the Pacific. We talked about for several months before we finally did it.

I have another "resource" on my blog, a how-to for getting your dog to use a piece of carpet on the bow:

<a title="Training a Dog to Be a “Boat Dog”" href="http://theboatgalley.com/training-dog-boat-dog/" rel="nofollow">Training Your Dog to be a "Boat Dog"</a>

Thanks for a great article on the pros and cons of taking/adopting a pet!
